My Ducts Aren’t Evenly Distributing Air Around My Home

Is a room in your house not getting as much heated air flowing through the ducts as other rooms in your house? Perhaps this issue has gotten worse over time?

There are a number of reasons that this could be happening, but the most common culprit is that your ducts are dirty and are filled with dust and debris which are hindering the airflow.

Another common issue that we find is damaged ducts that have rips in them, which allows the air to escape. These tears are commonly caused by rodents nibbling through them. And once you have initial tears, other animals typically find their way into your ducts which further exacerbates the problem. Here’s an example of torn ducts.

Another common issue is that the duct has blown off the vent. This issue can be quite easily fixed with some tape. However, the two aforementioned issues are much trickier and typically require professional help.

These are the three most common reasons that one or two rooms in your house don’t really have as much air blowing out of the duct vents.

Duct Doctor does not only tackle dirty ducts … we can also identify if anything needs replacing! Replacing ducting ensures that airflow is restored and no little creatures are living within your heating or cooling systems.
